Children and infants
What are the age limits for children and infants?
Children must be accompanied when flying upon a Spring Airlines flight. A child tickets can only be purchased in addition to the ticket of an accompanying adult.
Those under two years of age at the time of traveling are eligible for an infant ticket. Infants younger than 14 weeks are not permitted to fly.
Those from 2-12 years of age at the time of traveling must purchase a child ticket.
Those passengers carrying a ticket they are not eligible for will not be allowed to board and are solely responsible for expenses incurred.

How do I book tickets for children or infants online?
After booking an adult ticket online, there is an option for adding a child or infant to your booking. Please note that it is not possible for a child or infant to fly unaccompanied. Valid birth certificates are required for those wishing to book tickets for children or infants.
Can children or infants fly on airplanes unaccompanied?
According to the regulations of the Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC), children under 12 years old should be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above. Children between 5 to 12 years old are able to apply for unaccompanied service, though further documentation is required.
Spring Airlines cannot carry unaccompanied blind, deaf or mute children under 12 years of age.
Infants can not fly alone.
Are there any discounts for infant or child tickets?
Child ticket price will be the 50% of the adult cost on an equivalent flight. Spring Airlines will provide appropriate seating for the child. The fuel surcharge fee for a child ticket will cost 50% of the adult fee, and airport construction fee will be charged at a flat rate regardless of age.
Infant ticket price will be the 10% of the adult cost on an equivalent flight. Spring Airlines provide no seat solo seating for infants. Infants allocated a seat will be required to pay a child ticket price (50% of adult cost). Adult travelers are only permitted to travel with one infant at infant cost. Additional infant travelers will be required to pay child ticket costs.
Do children and infants need to pay fuel surcharges and Airport Construction Tax?
The Fuel Surcharge for a child aged between 2 and 12 years old is 50% of an adult's charge. Infant's tickets are exempt from fuel surcharges. Neither children nor infants are required to pay Airport Construction Tax.
Do infants require their own e-ticket?
Yes, you can book infant tickets on the English website of Spring Airlines.
What is the luggage allowance for children and infants?
Children holding an air ticket are entitled to bear the full luggage allowance of 15 kg including checked and carry-on luggage. Please note that ticket holders are allowed only one item of carry-on luggage, which is subject to the restrictions specified above.
Holders of infant tickets are not permitted baggage allowance.
